Portico Planner (“Portico”) is a planning app run by Nick Nicolaysen in Ohio, USA. It is currently in invite-only testing. Questions: support@porticoplanner.com.
What Portico stores
- Your account: your name and email from the sign-in you use.
- What you put in the app: tasks, notes, your daily log, tags and settings.
- Calendar events from calendars you choose to connect (Google, iCloud, Outlook), kept briefly so the app loads quickly.
- The access keys needed to reach the services you connect. They are stored on Portico’s servers and used only to sync your data.
Where it’s kept
Portico runs on Cloudflare, which stores a working copy of your data so the app is fast and works offline. If you connect Google Drive, your notes are also saved as plain Markdown files in a folder in your own Drive, and a daily backup of your tasks is written there. Portico can only see the files it creates in your Drive.
What Portico does not do
- No ads, and no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Your data is never sold or shared with anyone for their own use.
- Your data is not used to train AI models.
Who processes it
Only the services needed to run the app: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), and Google, Apple or Microsoft for the sign-in and calendars you connect.
Google user data
Portico’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to show and sync your own calendars, notes and backups inside Portico.
Cookies
Portico uses a cookie only to keep you signed in.
Your choices
- Disconnect any connected service at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for your account and data to be deleted, by emailing support@porticoplanner.com. Files already in your own Google Drive stay yours.
Children
Portico isn’t intended for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change, and significant changes will be announced in the app.
